I have mentioned this before but I think this is very important and a huge impact to add to one of the next releases.
Let's start off by mentioning that "usernames" shouldn't be part of the word filtering. There should be a word filter and a username filter. Word filter should also be globally (all rooms) and or defined per each room.
1.) Global Word Filter (All Rooms) - This should work how it is now currently just only subtracting username and nickname changing, as there should be a separate filter for username/nicknames.
- Example: If the word: Yankie is added to the Global Word Filter this word is blocked in all rooms and a person that wants to register the name Yankie they still can do so.
2.) Room Word Filter - It would be nice if each room had it's own word filter. If you go into a teen room you would expect words to not be allowed but how is it far to those who are in a adult room with blocked words. Let us control our chat vs having our chat be about dictatorship in areas where it shouldn't
If I block the word: "Yankie" in the teen room then it is only blocked in teen. Until that word is either added to the Global Word Filter and or added to other rooms filter it will be accepted except in that teen room.
3.) Username Filter - It would be nice if we could block usernames and or keywords that is or isn't allowed in a username. This should work during registration and in chat nickname changing.
