Derby database - general usage and backup
« on: April 19, 2014, 08:13:47 AM »
Hi
In the documentation, MySQL is recommended over using the embedded derby database. What is the reason for this?

Also, is there a tutorial for backing up the derby database?

Thanks in advance

Hello friend.

Thanks for contacting 123flashchat support team.

Since MySQL is more powerful and popular than Derby database, we suggest to use MySQL as chat database.

You could backup folder in <your 123flashchat installation dir>/server/database to backup the Derby database.

Hope this could be helpful and any further question please feel free to contact us.

Have a nice day!

Best regards!
