This new feature which was developed as part of new ban system in 123 Flash Chat V10.0 puzzled users to some extent. Unlike the previous frequently asked questions as how can we use the new feature, the focus has become a "why" this time.
"It makes sense since blocking a range of IPs to impede flood or re-logins for disturbers after changing his IP can be meaningful nevertheless the effect that he cannot get in the chat will only be applicable the next time he tries to get in really leads us nowhere", says Mike, a loyal customer for 123 Flash Chat for years.
Actually this idea comes from one of the customers. For years chat masters has been suffering from the disturbers since they can come back easily by changing a new IP. Ban his name, ban his computer ID, ban his IP address, none of them will work he will just come back. Then one of the chat admins comes up with this idea.
The ideology lies in that disturbers are human as well. Should they chat normally (or in this case flood the chat normally) even before he logs out he would consider there is nothing the moderators can do about him; However, once he tried to do the same next time when he logs in only to find he is locked out there, he should be intimidated and shocked how the system can do that and probably will step away.
In light of the fact that we cannot find a radical solution for banning the disturbers for good this might help as part of the new feature for this html chat client.
